Retirement Companion Singapore

Retirement is not the end of your story. Sometimes all it takes is a meaningful conversation to discover a new chapter.

Many people spend decades working hard, building careers, raising families and caring for others.

Then one day...

Life suddenly becomes quiet.

Retirement can bring freedom, but it can also bring uncertainty, loneliness and questions about what comes next.

Some people miss the routine. Some miss having someone to talk to.

Some simply want another perspective from someone who has also experienced life's ups and downs.

That is why I created Retirement Companion.

What This Is Not

  • This is not therapy. If you need psychological treatment, consult a licensed therapist.
  • This is not counselling. I do not offer clinical intervention or mental health counseling.
  • This is not financial advice. I do not advise on wealth management or investments.
  • This is not retirement planning. I do not offer financial or structural retirement plans.

This is simply one person listening to another with honesty, respect and genuine interest.

Your Companion

Why Me?

I don't claim to have all the answers or offer structured programs. What I bring to our conversations is over 60 years of real-life experiences, including business successes and failures, as well as personal setbacks and recovery.

Having run multiple businesses in Singapore spanning transport, food services, and limousine transport, I know the intense pressure of building careers. And having fought clinical depression twice and rebuilt my life from scratch, I understand the heavy weight of loneliness and major transitions.

I believe in honest conversations and listening without judgment. My one cent worth is grounded in reality, not textbooks. If you want someone who respects your life's story and simply wants to hear it, I am here.

Sometimes We Don't Need Answers

Many retirees do not need solutions, advice, or strategies to fix their days.

They simply need someone willing to listen.

Someone who is genuinely interested in their stories.

Someone who reminds them that their life still has meaning.

Frequently Asked Questions

A retirement companion is a dedicated, thoughtful conversational partner who provides a listening ear, companionship, and fresh life perspectives. It is a sounding board designed to help retirees process the transition into a slower pace of life, discuss their thoughts and next chapters, and ease the feelings of isolation or loneliness that often follow retirement.
This is suitable for recently retired individuals adjusting to a slower lifestyle, those experiencing loneliness after leaving active careers, or anyone looking for meaningful, honest conversations with an objective, experienced listener who can offer perspective without pushing advice or judgment.
No, this is absolutely not counselling or therapy. It is not designed to treat clinical mental health issues, depression, or severe anxiety. It is simply one person listening to another with honesty, respect, and genuine interest. If you are seeking professional mental health support, we strongly recommend consulting a licensed therapist or counselor.
Yes. Many of my sessions are booked by adult children who want their retired parents to have someone engaging, empathetic, and experienced to talk to. We can discuss your family member's preferences and find the best way to introduce the companion sessions naturally and comfortably.
To ensure maximum accessibility and convenience across Singapore, sessions are conducted digitally via private voice or video calls on WhatsApp or WeChat. This allows for comfortable, face-to-face or voice-only connection from the privacy of your own home, without the stress of travel.
Yes. While some people prefer single, one-off conversations to work through a specific transition or crossroads, many find it beneficial to establish a regular routine. We can schedule weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly companion conversations depending on your preferences and needs.
Standard sessions are structured in blocks of 30, 60, or 90 minutes. This provides ample, unhurried time to talk about what is on your mind, explore life lessons, or share experiences. Extended times are also available upon request.
For our digital Retirement Companion sessions, meetings are held via voice/video call. However, if you or your loved one are currently in a hospital or nursing home in Singapore and require in-person companion visits, you can explore my specialized in-person companion services via the Hospital Companion and Nursing Home Companion links below.

Let's Have A Conversation

If retirement feels quieter than you expected, you don't have to navigate it alone. Sometimes one meaningful conversation can brighten an entire week.
